Curtiss-Wright Awarded Contract From Moog

For Solenoids on Flight Control on the 787 Dreamliner Aircraft
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - JULY 29, 2010 - Curtiss-Wright Controls, Inc. today announced that it has received a contract with a total potential value of $20 million from Moog Aircraft Group to provide solenoids for use on the flight control system of Boeing's 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
"Curtiss-Wright is very excited that our solenoids have been selected by Moog for use on the 787 Dreamliner," said David Adams, co-chief operating officer of Curtiss-Wright Corporation. "We greatly value our participation on Boeing's highly efficient new aircraft."
Curtiss-Wright Controls Integrated Sensing business group will manufacture the solenoids at the company's facilities in Tempe, AZ and Nogales, Mexico. The products will be shipped to Moog Aircraft Group, Baggio, Philippines with production beginning immediately and continuing through 2035.
